We head to Cinco Ribeiras parish where we stop at a local cheese factory, Queijo Vaquinha. At the factory, we can taste several kinds of cheese and typical bread from the Azores.
Following the coast, we go to the parish of Serreta, where we stop for a typical lunch. In this restaurant, we will eat the most famous dish of Terceira Island, Alcatra. As well as sausage, black pudding, fried pork, liver baits, sweet potatoes and corn cakes. All done as our ancestors did.
After lunch, nothing better than to head north and visit the wine-growing landscape of Biscoitos with the possibility to stop at the local winery to taste local wines and liqueurs.
